Arti Naidu - Senior Manager

As a Senior Manager at the AUASB, Arti is responsible for the planning, research, development and delivery of auditing and assurance standards and related guidance forming part of the AUASB strategy and corporate plan.  Arti’s areas of focus at the AUASB is on Australian Auditing Standards and related guidance affecting private sector (profit and not-for-profit) and public sector entities.

Before joining the AUASB Arti held the position of Senior Inspector at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) where she had operational involvement in the financial reporting surveillance and audit firm inspection programs. This included having responsibility for technical accounting and audit matters and issues, and engagement with external stakeholders.  Arti was also responsible in leading enforcement actions and investigations related to audit and financial reporting, including auditor misconduct matters. Additionally, she was involved in the development and update of ASIC’s regulatory guidance and instruments.

Prior to her role at ASIC, Arti was a Senior Accountant at Ernst and Young, where she audited companies across a diverse range of industries in the private, public and government sectors from SMEs to the largest corporations in Australia.  She began her career at KPMG as a Senior Accountant, primarily responsible for conducting financial statement audits.

Arti is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
