Terence Jeyaretnam

Terence is the APAC Leader, Climate Change and Sustainability Services at EY in Melbourne, and has been a Partner at EY for almost a decade.  An environmental, climate and sustainability specialist with over thirty years’ experience, previously, Terence was the Founder and Director of sustainability firm Net Balance until its acquisition by EY in 2014. Terence holds a degree in Environmental Engineering (UWA), is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow and Engineering Executive of the Institute of Engineers, Australia. He is also a Clean Energy Regulator accredited Category 2 Auditor.

 

Terence is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business & Economics at Monash University.  Terence is a Non-Executive Director of Amnesty International Australia, Australian Conservation Foundation, Global Citizen (Australia),  and Food Frontier.

 

He is a former member of the Technical Working Group of the International Sustainability Standards Board.

Terence was EY Oceania's Indigenous Reconciliation Leader (2016 - 2022) and also founded the firm's First Nations practice. He is currently the leader of EY Oceania’s cultural diversity network.
