Congratulations to former AUASB Chair, Ms Merran Kelsall, on her induction into the Australian Accounting Hall of Fame

The Office of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) congratulates Ms. Merran Kelsall AO on her induction into the 2024 Australian Accounting Hall of Fame. Ms. Kelsall’s induction recognises her outstanding contribution to the accounting and auditing profession over 45 years, including:

• As the inaugural Chair and CEO of the then newly constituted AUASB from 2005 – 2017 and as a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board from 2011 – 2016.
• As the immediate past President and Chair of CPA Australia.
• As Chair and Director of several organisations across various industries in both the private and public sectors.

Ms Kelsall was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2023 Australia Day Honours List for her “distinguished service to the financial accounting sector, to professional organisations, and to the community.”
