The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) is pleased to advise that the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) has this week announced the appointment of 2 new members to the AUASB.
Tracey Barker (Partner, KPMG) and Joanne Lonergan (Partner, EY) have been appointed to the AUASB on a part-time basis commencing from 1 January 2022 for an initial period of 3 years.
Mr Bill Edge, AUASB Chair, said “Both Tracey and Joanne have many years of auditing experience across a range of industries and locations, and bring a wealth of knowledge and capability to the AUASB. We welcome Tracey and Joanne to the AUASB Board.”
The FRC has also reappointed Klynton Hankin (Partner, PwC) to the AUASB from 1 January 2022 for an additional three years.
There are three AUASB Members who will retire from the AUASB at the end of this year:
Mr Edge thanked the retiring Board Members for their service to the AUASB. “All of our retiring Board Members have been tremendous contributors to the AUASB. In particular, Jo has been our expert on Extended External Reporting Assurance since 2013, Carolyn’s support on technical auditing and assurance issues has been invaluable and Rodney’s input in the Technology space has been highly appreciated. I am also pleased to note that Jo will continue working with the AUASB as a member of the AASB-AUASB EER Project Advisory Panel and Rodney will stay as the Chair of the AUASB’s Technology Project Advisory Group”.
