Webinar: CPA webinar on Revised ASA 540 Auditing Accounting Estimates and Related Disclosures

Expectations of auditors when auditing accounting estimates are changing. Rene Herman, Senior Project Manager at the AUASB presented a webinar for CPA Australia outlining the key changes to ASA 540 Auditing Accounting Estimates and Related Disclosures.  The webinar, aimed at small and medium practitioners, illustrates some practical application of the standard to prepare auditors for implementation for financial reporting periods commencing on or after 15 December 2019. These changes are in largely in response to issues arising from evolving financial reporting frameworks, which have increased the volume and complexity of accounting judgements and related disclosures.
