Exposure Draft 01/20 on Proposed Standard on Related Services ASRS 4400 Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements

The AUASB has released Exposure Draft 01/20: Proposed Standard on Related Services ASRS 4400 Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements (ED 01/20) with a 60-day comment period ending 20 April 2020.

ED 01/20 is based on the recently revised ISRS 4400 Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements (ISRS 4400).  ISRS 4400 was approved at the December 2019 IAASB meeting, but has yet to be approved by the Public Interest Oversight Board.  ED 01/20 largely aligns with Extant ASRS 4400 Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements to Report Factual Findings, with the main points of differences, as outlined in the Explanatory Memorandum to ED 01/20, being:

• Independence
• Professional judgement
• Restriction on use
